Getting to hike around the castle grounds and see some of the artifacts on display in the museum, finishing with the view of Wakayama was amazing!

This activity was great for anyone who loves a combination of physical and cultural exploring! It included some light hiking with great views of the castle and garden. The castle itself has multiple floors which have been converted into a museum perfect for learning more about Japanese and local history!

The castle grounds were beautiful and peaceful, and the museum had some really interesting displays. The view from the top was definitely the highlight!

This activity showcased a beautiful castle in Wakayama and hiked along lovely trails showcasing great nature. I wish there was more history provided throughout the tour but the guide was also very nice!

The walk up to the castle may be challenging for some (ex. older travelers, those with mobility issues) but the castle itself is very well-maintained and less crowded than other famous castles in Japan. Additionally, the view from the top of the castle is an incredible vantage point to see all of Wakayama.

The castle overall was a nice exhibit but I think what really sealed the deal was the view we got at the top of the castle, with a nice backdrop of the entire city in front of you, definitely would recommend to others.

Very beautiful castle, with once in a life-time kind of views when you get to the peak of the castle. I recommend coming here when the weather isn't too hot or humid, as that will make the experience a lot more worth while in my opinion.

Wakayama Castle was a great place to visit and offered some beautiful views of the city from the top. I enjoyed exploring the castle grounds and learning a bit about its history. The walk up was worth it, and the surrounding park made it a peaceful place to spend some time.

Wakayama castle is one of the coolest castles I have seen in all of Japan. The place has a lot of greenery and is rich with history! Around the castle garden was really beautiful and the large walls are stunning. You also have a lot of history inside the history with the Tokugawa shogunate. It is a very underrated place I feel like.
