The Awashima Jinja Shrine in Kumamoto Prefecture is notable for its mini torii stone gates. It is said that whoever crawls through one of the gates will be able to recover from illnesses, avoid disasters and give save birth to children. If you explore the grounds further you will also be able to find two small wooden torii gates which are said to help you achieve success in school examinations. The shrine also features one of the smallest torii gates in Japan - will you be able to find it?
