The Mikurigaike Onsen hot spring, located in Tateyama in the Toyama prefecture, is no regular onsen. At the height of 7906 feet (2410m), Mikurigaike Onsen is the highest natural hot spring in all of Japan. Nestled up in Chubu Sangaku National Park, you can enjoy beautiful views of the mountain ranges and star-filled sky at night from this relaxing resort out in the middle of nature. The source of the onsen coming from a "Jigokudani" (Hell Valley) will, despite its name, relieve you of any muscle fatigue and ailments you have with its relaxing experience.
