One concern I had was the convenience store section of the tour. I feel that by the time tourists come to Numazu for the tour, they will already have gone to the convenience store. During my experience, the tour guides showed us popular snacks among high school students, showed their personal favorites, and asked us what we liked. I felt like it needed more direction. I think that they should focus on showing what is popular among high schoolers and also the unique konbini food combinations seen on Japanese SNS, such as the Coolish ice cream matcha latte “hack” or other combos most foreigners would not know.

I also liked the ice cream shop—it was very unique and tasty, and I’ve never seen ice cream served in that way. The food stops were fun, but it would be nice to have some activities that highlight the local culture more. Food allergies may need to be considered when deciding the itinerary. Clear information or options for people with allergies would make the tour feel safer and more welcoming.
