Kagawa

Kagawa prefecture, located in Shikoku (one of the four main islands of Japan), is the northernmost prefecture of Shikoku. Kagawa is also the smallest prefecture in Japan in terms of area size, facing the Seto Inland Sea. Kagawa is famous for it's udon noodles (Sankuki udon noodles), with a plethora of udon restaurants found throughout the prefecture, which serve delicious udon based meals at a very cheap price. Kagawa is so famous for Udon, it's also known as the Udon prefecture (Udon-ken). Kagawa's "Ritsurin Garden" and "Konpira Shrine" are popular tourist spots. Ritsurin Garden for it's traditional landscape scenery and delicately sculpted pine trees and bonsai culture, and Konpira Shrine for it's long mountain hike with 1368 steps to the inner shrine.
