About Hideki

Hello, my name is Hideki Minami. I am a nationally licensed tour guide based in Tokyo. I also teach sports philosophy and yoga at universities and run Yoshifuku, a traditional Japanese house in Musashi-Koganei, western Tokyo. What I value most as a guide is not simply giving information about sightseeing spots, but connecting people through travel. I enjoy introducing both Tokyo’s famous attractions and quieter local places such as Jindaiji Temple and the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, where visitors can experience another side of Tokyo at a more relaxed pace. At Yoshifuku, I am also developing cultural experiences where visitors can enjoy traditional Japanese spaces such as tatami rooms and an irori hearth, share food and conversation, and experience everyday Japanese culture. My goal is to help you not only see Japan, but connect with its people, culture, and traditions. I always try to understand each guest’s interests and travel style and create a personal and memorable experience. I look forward to exploring Japan with you!
