Nagushiyama Koen Park
Art & Architecture History
The Nagushiyama Koen Park, located in the Saikai National Park, is famous for its beautiful views of Nagasaki's coast and islands and its azalea flowers. More than 100,000 azaleas blossom in spring, from April into May, turning the hills of the park pink and creating a beautiful contrast to the blue sea and sky. However, what makes the park really special compared to other flower gardens in Japan is its pristine view of Hirado Island and the northern 99 islands of Nagasaki. The park has a visitor center with simple food and a camping ground that can be used from April to September.
