Otani Sanso

Otani Sanso is a long-established ryokan hotel founded in 1881. It is a hotel, but its onsen can also be accessed on a day-trip pass. Visitors can observe the quiet nature of Nagato as they relax both body and mind by soaking in the Nagato Yumoto Onsen, the springs of which date back to the Muromachi period. The surrounding scenery changes with the seasons, and the clear open spaces allow visitors to forget the passing of time. On top of that, the kaiseki banquet cuisine and teppan-yaki hot plate dishes served at the inn use seasonal fish and locally-grown vegetables, creating savory, seasonal tastes.
