Ueno Farm

Ueno Farm is a garden made up mainly of a variety of perennial plants that bloom in each season. The garden was originally intended to be made in the style of beautiful English gardens, but the end result is a scene full of allure that can only be felt in Hokkaido, and now it is often called "Hokkaido Garden." The combination of the flowering season that is possible only because of the northern climate and the brilliant colors of the flowers made by the temperature differences mixed with the Hokkaido air creates a garden that is one of a kind.
The garden shop is also popular, where visitors can purchase seedlings and gifts. Original Japanese sweets and herb tea wrapped in pictures of flowers are great for souvenirs. Visitors can also climb Mt. Shatekiyama directly from the garden. The slope of the mountain itself if a garden that spreads out like a field, and from the summit one can look out over the rural landscape.
