The Ryusou material is adapted for the warm and tropical climate in Okinawa. The clothing is airy and loose in comparison to the Japanese traditional kimono. As well as that, the “Ryusou-obi”, waist belt, is tied at the front instead of the usual traditional method of tying the belt at the back, at times, the obi may not be used when wearing the dress. This depends of what type of Ryusou you wear.
