Natural waterfall “Saburo” is created by mother nature.
The natural water slider, Saburo’s water located in Fuchu City, in Hiroshima prefecture. It is a famous and popular spot for local people to bring children to have fun during summer. Saburo’s waterfall means the third son’s waterfall literally in Japanese However; there is not only the Saburo “third son” but also the first son’s waterfall and second son’s waterfall in the place. It is all connected to each other. The Ichijiro (first son) waterfall in the upper steam, Jiro (second son) waterfall the middle stream and the Saburo is downstream. They all have different characteristics in these three separate waterfalls. The waterfall of Saburo is the longest one, the waterfall of Ichijiro is the steepest among all, and the length of the waterfall of Nijichiro is about 5 meters.

Most of the waterfalls located in the deep side of the mountain. But this waterfall is pretty close to the parking space and don't need to hike a long distance, making it easy access for children and families that are unable to hike long distances. When you walk from the parking lot, you will first see the Ichijiro waterfall. The waterfall of Ichijiro is very steep and short, a good place for beginners or you can jump straight into the water pool. After Ichijiro waterfall, you walk a little bit further; there are shops, restaurants, and a fishing pond between Ichijiro waterfall and Nijiro waterfall. The suitable age for kids is seven years old and above. The waterfall of Ichijiro is about 2.5 meters, the waterfall of Nijiro is 5 meters, and the waterfall of Saburo is 12.5 meters. Between Nijiro and Saburo waterfall is about 30 meters.

From Tokyo, it takes about 2 hours by flight to arrive at Hiroshima airport. From Hiroshima airport,
You can take a bus and need to change several times to arrive at the Saburomaru-cho.
If you take the Shinkansen, it takes about 3 hours and a half to arrive at the Fukuyama station.
From the Fukuyama station, it takes about twenty minutes and gets off at Saburomarucho. It is free to park in the parking lot.
The access to the place is not so convenient so we would recommend renting a car to drive to the place directly.
