東京都 上野にある上野恩賜公園（上野公園）は、日本の主要な都市公園のひとつです。広大な敷地には上野動物園、東京国立博物館、国立科学博物館、国立西洋美術館、東京都美術館など、様々な文化施設があります。また「日本さくら名所100選」にも指定されており、春に開催される「うえの桜まつり」には、毎年多くの人が訪れています。公園内には桜のほかにも四季折々の植物を楽しめるため、ゆっくり散策するのもおすすめです。

A beautiful park with plenty to do. There are many museums that you can visit around the park if you are interested in art or science, and there is a zoo that you can visit which houses many animals. Around the park there are plenty of restaurants around if you are hungry, when I was there I ate ramen outside of the park. This place is a must see if you haven't seen it before.
Solid place if you're looking to explore traditional Japanese culture, there are viewings were you could attend and participate in religious gatherings at the temples, as well as charms to buy if you're superstitious or want a cute souvenir.
I had a great experience at Ueno Park. There is so much to do, from visiting museums to enjoying the peaceful green spaces and ponds. It never felt boring because every area had something different to offer. It's a perfect place for both sightseeing and relaxing.
Ueno Koen Park is a shining example of the lush greenery that can be found in Japan which isn't too close to home if you are staying in Tokyo. Flanked by various temples and shrines, the park is a great way to get in touch with nature in any season (though if you are visiting in the summer, please remember sunscreen). Another highlight is the aforementioned museums. There are 6 in total ranging from art, culture and science with special events being held year round. During my stay, there was an exhibition in the royal art museum celebrating the 10th anniversary of sword art online: a widely popular anime series.
Regardless of how many times I go to Ueno Koen, I never tire from strolling along its paths and taking in the sights. As the scenery changes with the seasons, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The park is home to several museums, including the Tokyo National Museum as well as the Kiyomizu Kannon-do temple (a copy of the Kiyomizudera temple in Kyoto, but still worth visiting as there is a cool pine tree that's called the "pine tree of the moon") and Ueno Toshogu Shrine (dedicated to the memory of Tokugawa Ieyasu). Visitors can also see pandas at the Ueno Zoo, but with Ameya Yokocho (a haven for foods and shopping) a short walk away, these two places made Ueno one of my favorite places to visit in Tokyo.
