About Natsumi

Hi there! I'm Natsumi. I teach Japanese online to students from all over the world, from teenagers to seniors, so chatting with people from different countries is a big part of my everyday life. More than anything, I love to travel! I've explored many places in Japan and abroad, and I even lived in Thailand for a while. For me, travel is all about the food. I also love scenery you can only find in that one place, and the chance encounters with real locals (not tour guides!) that become the best memories of a trip. I'm a very active person too. I grew up playing basketball, I love pretty much any ball sport, and these days I'm really into hiking and mountain climbing. I can show you around all of Ishikawa, from Kanazawa to the Noto Peninsula and Kaga. Besides the must-see spots, I'll take you to places where locals actually eat and hang out, and I'll give you my honest picks. Fair warning: I always say what I really think! 😄 I became a Local because I want to enjoy life to the fullest, and making friends from all over the world makes me happiest.
