Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History and Human History

The Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History and Human History was built on the former factory site of Nippon Steel Yawata Works. The museum is a large-scale learning space with a variety exhibits on history and the evolution of life. There are plenty of things worth seeing, such as the displays of stuffed mammals and birds in the Diversity of Life exhibit, the Discovering Nature exhibit where you can observe the nature of northern Kyushu, and the Time Traveling Room that has books on the skeletal structures of dinosaurs.
