Sakurai Futamigaura is a scenic spot on the coast in the west of Fukuoka Prefecture. It is famous for the 'couple rock', two rocks connected by a sacred rope called shimenawa. The union of the two rocks is meant to symbolize marriage. Sakurai Futamigaura is a popular spot for picture taking and is considered one of the top spots in Kyushu to watch the sunset.
