The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa looks to present contemporary art pieces from a new perspective. Located in Ishikawa Prefecture, the museum layout resembles a park and was designed to bring different people together in the appreciation of art. A popular piece is “The Swimming Pool” where from above people appear to be at the bottom of a pool filled with water. In fact, however, a thin layer of water is suspended those below.
