Pretty nice experience overall, especially as the main guest it was nice to be served tea personally by the hostess, pretty pleasant experience overall, I'd say out of all the tea ceremonies I've experienced this is the 2nd best.
Gyokusen-an Tea House (Gyokusen'inmaru Garden)
“A bowl of matcha with the lords' garden spread before you.”

Gyokusen-an is a tea house and rest space standing at the entrance of Gyokusen'inmaru Garden. Take a seat in the tatami tea room and the strolling pond garden opens up before you, framed by the stone walls of Kanazawa Castle—a view that shifts with every season. The tea service pairs a bowl of matcha with a fresh seasonal wagashi sweet. Because the tea house is run by Ishikawa Prefecture, practitioners of both the Omotesenke and Urasenke tea schools serve here, and the sweets are supplied in rotation by Kanazawa's long-established confectioners, so each visit brings something different. No knowledge of tea ceremony etiquette is needed—travelers are welcome to simply sit, sip, and take in the garden at their own pace. While the garden itself draws steady crowds, surprisingly few visitors step into Gyokusen-an, making it a quiet spot to rest during a walk around Kanazawa Castle and an easy first step into Japan's tea culture.
